Welcome To All

CTPS is centered in Manchester, CT and has been in existence since the fall of 2007.  We have investigated sites all over Connecticut and some in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.  We do not condone trespassing or illegal entry.  Any questions about the site, us, or our investigations can be sent to [email protected].  And also don't forget to sign our guestbook and leave any suggestions you may have.

News and Updates

June 1, 2010
A new page has been added to the CT Woods Forests section: Camp Connecticut in Colchester.  While a formal investigation has not been done, this page contains the brief known history of this site and a walkthrough of the grounds.

May 10, 2010
With most of CTPS members returning sometime within the next two weeks, expect for some new investigations to be added by the end of May.

October 19, 2009
Yes, it's been awhile.  I apologize for the lack of updates.  Over the summer, CTPS went to several well known Connecticut sites, such as Bara Hack settlement near Pomfret.  Because of a busy schedule, the investigative writeups are still being completed, along with sifting through the data that was recorded.  They should be up within a week or so.  Also, a few of the well known sites in Pennsylvania, such as Gettysburg battle sites may be added if I ever find the time to plan a trip down there.  Finally, just as a reccomendation, go see Paranormal Activity.  Most of the movie is very accurate in terms of describing demon possession until the last 15 minutes or so.

March 3, 2009
Some minor changes to the site have been made to enhance the appearance.  Also, many new potential sites in CT have been added.

December 30, 2008
It has been awhile but three new investigations have been added: Naugatuck-Gunntown Cemetery, Seymour-Great Hill Cemetery, and Beverly-Beverly Farms Cemetery.  The first two are in CT and the last one is a MA one.

It's been awhile.  Combination of busy schedule and my laptop being broken.  Hopefully some of you saw the article in the Glastonbury Citizen that highlighted CTPS as one of the local paranormal groups.  If not, pick it up, it was a fairly good article.  Updates are slow right now, but the New England Oddities page will have some more info on it.

October 6th, 2008
Quick little update that will shed some light on Old Trinity Church in Brooklyn, CT.  Also, MA updates are almost done only a couple more spots remain.  Because MA is a much bigger state than CT, I am really depending on viewer submissions for lesser known haunted areas.  Again, please e-mail the site any other locations you know of.

September 24, 2008
Wow, Massachusetts definitely has a lot more reputedly haunted locations to sift through.  Some locations have begun to be put up but the entire process will take a couple of days.  The first MA investigation will take place sometime in the coming weeks.

August 31, 2008
Here is a quick update on what will be happening in the near future.  We will do perhaps one more CT investigation for the summer and then the college year will start so there will be very few CT investigations until the Christmas Break period.  There will be more MA, RI, and possibly even NH or VT if we are feeling adventurous.  The list of haunted locations for MA will be up within a couple of weeks and more will be added to RI.

August 20, 2008
Another update to Maude's Grave has been posted along with a brief investigation that was cut short about Old Trinity Church in Brooklyn.

August 11, 2008
A new investigation has been added under Maudes Grave in Voluntown, CT, titled the return to Maudes Grave, along with a short summary of the discrepancy of hauntings and locations there.  Please read this one and give us feedback on what we potentially heard (you will understand if you read the investigation).

August 4, 2008
Finally, we have a couple of locations in Rhode Island listed under RI investigations.  Massachusetts locations will come soon, sometime in September.

August 1, 2008
We have added second investigations to two previously explored areas:  Glastonbury - Nike Site, and Easbury Cemetery.

July 16, 2008
Two new CT investigations have been added: Lamson Corner Cemetery in Burlington, and South Burial Grounds or Southington Road Cemetery in Kensington.  The site will be going under extreme maintanence the next two days so check back soon and we will have a revised CT page with new locations and corrections on some.

June 19, 2008
New investigation added today under CT investigations, Glastonbury-Diamond Lake Area.  This is easily the most results we've ever had, unfortunately it wasn't with the usual CTPS crew.

June 6, 2008
I am adding a new sectionto the site called the scariest songs.  I figured it will be an interesting and original touch to the site.  Check it out and let me know what you think, it will be updated over the next week or so.

June 4th, 2008
The updates I have been promising are finally here.  While only one investigation has been done (Coventry-Holy Grove Cemetery under CT), there will be more in the near future.  Most of the upcoming ones will be some of the more well known and documented places around CT, such as a return ttrip to Maudes Grave, Lamson Corner Cemetery, and possibly Old Trinity Church in Brooklyn.

May 4, 2008
Once I come home from college in one week, expect almost weekly investigation writeups.  Check back often.

April 21, 2008
The site has been updated extensively, especially the pics of already written investigations.  Check around for new stuff.

April 17, 2008
The quest for the camera cable continues as apparently it is not an easy model to find.  Several new investigations were added today under the CT Investigations page.  We would also like to thank Jeff S. for his help in recommending two cemeteries that have been added and will be investigated in the future.

April 6, 2008
Once again, I apologize in the delay of adding the pics from the last couple of investigations.  It seems as if Brandon's cable that connects the camera to the computer is broken, so he will get a new one asap and they will be put up then.

April 1, 2008
Two new investigations have been posted: Eastbury Cemetery in Glastonbury and Belknap Cemetery in Bolton, both in CT.  The pics for these, as well as the pics for Buckingham Church Cemetery should be up tonight or tomorrow.

March 26, 2008
I apologize for the delay but pics for the Buckhingham Church and Chalmers St Woods will be up shortly.  Also, many new lesser known locations have been added under CT investigations.

March 20, 2008
Again, two new investigations were added today.  Check the CT investigations for Manchester and Vernon locations.  More to come before the weekend!

March 18, 2008
NEW INVESTIGATION ADDED!  Look at the new typed up investigation Glastonbury-Buckingham Church Cemetery under the Connecticut Investigations page.  Pics will be uploaded soon.

March 11, 2008
A new section of the site is up and ready to view.  By clicking on the ghost hunting info/faq page you can now view two different pages about investigations and a list with pics and descriptions of the kinds of ghosts you might run into during an investigation.

March 8, 2008
Allright so all the available pics we have are up.  The locations that do not have a profile pic will have one when we do our investigation.  Two trips to several different locations are being planned for spring break roughly between the 17th and 21st so there should be several new investigation writeups and pics after those dates.

March 4, 2008
Problem with pics solved, it turns out I cannot do it from this computer so I am having another member upload the member and investigation pics so far.

February 29, 2008
All of the CT past and future site investigations are now listed.  Planning to start working on RI and MA soon.  Still having problems with getting pics up.

February 28, 2008
I have updated the members section with descriptions and people but still have to put photos up.  Three investigations have been written (Maudes Grave, Riverside Cemetery, Nike Site), along with other investigation section work.  I will continue to do CT first before starting work on MA and RI sections.

Other Useful Sites

The Shadowlands- <http://www.theshadowlands.net>
A good reference tool that has hauntings and other forms of the paranormal for every state in the U.S. along with helpful information on ghost hunting.  The only problem is that because the site is based in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and southern New York, some of the other states list of haunted places are inaccurate.  One other problem I have is that they do not have addresses for most of the entries making it extra work for the interested person to research the place and find its exact location.

Ghost Hunter's Community Forum- <http://para4.org/forum/>
Overall a forum that has many different topics and can help you find the basic information you will be looking for.  Usually there is a quick response to questions and the users are generally knowledgeable about the topics.

Creepy Connecticut- <http://drazor1.tripod.com/>
A guide to mainstream haunted areas in the state of Connecticut.  Many locations are covered with very detailed descriptions and pictures but there is one problem with the investigations: most are done during the day and by very cynical and unbelieving researchers, leading to the lack of paranormal evidence in almost all investigations conducted.

Ghost Village- http://www.ghostvillage.com/ghostcommunity/index.php?act=idx>
Another useful forum that allows users to search and learn about almost any aspect of the area of ghosts and hauntings.  More locally known hauntings mentioned and discussed than on other forums.

Paranormal and Supernatural Investigation- http://www.geocities.com/dviper1978/psi.html>
This site offers many lesser known haunted locations around the state of Connecticut but many of the sites contain errors in the typing and addresses leading to an unprofessional look.
